    Collada files can be opened and viewed using the latest versions of Google Sketchup.

  6. When I export an IDF from DesignSpark PCB, I get two files. Which do I use?
    The export process create two file. The first is the board layout and uses an .idb file extension. The second contains the interface and type library, and uses an .idl file extension. PCB Converter for Sketchup uses the .idb file.
  7. Why doesn't my PCB look realistic?
    The IDF file only includes the overall dimensions of the components on a PCB. Once you have imported your Collada file into your 3D CAD Software, you can visit rswww.com to find and download the 3D models of the components you need to complete the model of your PCB
  8. Why is my PCB too thin?
    When you export your design as an IDF from DesignSpark PCB, the dialogue box will ask you to enter the thichkness of the PCB. This will then be shown upon importing your Collada file
  9. How can I replace the images with accurate models?
    Yes. Once you have imported your Collada file into your 3D CAD Software, visit rswww.com to find and download the 3D models of the components you need.
  10. Can I test my PCB design?
    No. Simulation is not yet part of DesignSpark PCB.
