PT 4-HESI Lever-type Fuse Terminal Blocks
From Phoenix Contact, the PT-4 HESI range of lever type fused terminal blocks designed for 5x20mm cartridge fuses. Compact in design and with front connection the modular terminal blocks are simple and quick to connect even in confined spaces. Featuring Phoenix Contact PT push-in technology the PT-4 terminal blocks are ideal for heavy-duty industrial applications where a fast and secure connection is essential.
Robust and reliable, the insulated housings are constructed from high quality recyclable PA 6.6 (Polyamide) Its halogen-free, UV resistant and has a high impact strength and chemical resistance.
In addition, this range of Phoenix Contact DIN rail terminals are part of the CLIPLINE complete system. The CLIPLINE complete system offers a uniform range of accessories for all connection technologies, thanks to the double function shaft feature.
What is PT connection technology?
PT Push-in technology has been developed by Phoenix Contact to provide a quick, safe and convenient method for direct conductor connection. Solid conductors or stranded conductors with ferrules can be inserted directly into the terminal block, without the need for specialist tooling. When the conductor is inserted, the contact spring opens automatically and forces enough pressure onto the conductor against the current bar. Releasing the spring is easy, an integrated push-button allows you to release the conductor safely and without direct contact with any live parts. The latch function of the integrated push-button can be operated with any standard screwdriver.
Features and Benefits
- Easy handling, tool-free connection

- IEC 60947-7-3
- Terminals compatible with standard Top Hat TS35 rail 7.5mm
Applications
The PT 4 range of DIN rail terminal blocks have been rigorously tested for a wide range of approvals. The robust terminal blocks are resistant to vibration, shock and corrosion. Some of the common applications are
- Railway
- Shipbuilding
- Machine building
- Plant engineering
- Industrial distribution boards
- Industrial controls
- Control cabinets and panels
Optional accessories
A range of optional accessories are available for the PT 4 DIN rail terminals. A few typical examples are,
Push-In Connection Terminal Blocks
The PT series is characterised by easy, direct conductor connection, and it consistently uses the advantages of the CLIPLINE complete system. The up to 50% lower insertion forces of the PT push-in connection method also allows easy and direct plugging of solid and stranded conductors with ferrules of 0.34mm2 and up.
