3M 3400 Series 2.54 x 2.54 mm Wire to Board IDC Transition Connector
3400 series 4-row IDC PCB wire to board ribbon cable transition connectors with a 2.54 x 2.54 mm pitch for use with 26 AWG and 28 AWG solid and stranded ribbon cable. These IDC ribbon cable connectors have a low profile design with an assembled height of just 5.6 mm. The ribbon cable can be connected directly to the PCB connector without the need for a mating connector offering cost savings. The ribbon cable is forced onto a row of sharp forked IDC contacts arranged on a standard staggered grid that strip the insulation enabling mass termination. The use of IDC contacts eliminates the need for prior cable preparation and stripping and provides a quick and simple interconnection system
