The Microchip ADM00942 single channel White LED (WLED) driver is designed to drive a single high power WLED up to 800mA and features a low dropout of 280mV at 800mA (typical). It operates on 3V to 5.5V on voltage range. This constant current linear device provides the highest efficiency as it has no switching losses present in traditional charge pumps or inductive boost circuits. It features a low dropout of 280mV at 800mA (typical). The high accuracy (1% typical) current regulated WLED channel ensures uniform display illumination under all conditions. The brightness is controlled through an Ultra Fast PWM™ interface which can operate from 1% to 100% duty cycle.
